Description
I have received several emails regarding wood rot and concrete repair. I thought I would give you additional info. We are on our last paint rotation. The buildings to be painted are Legare, Anson, two buildings on Brewton and the pool house. This includes wood rot replacement, paint trim, shutters and doors. This has been scheduled for May and June. Paint rotation will begin again in 2021 (2014 was the beginning of this rotation) we will make necessary repairs as needed for wood rot replacement, etc. until the new rotation starts again. The streets and sidewalks/driveways are in desperate need of repair. It is our intention to schedule this work for 2019-2020. With the break in painting, we will have approximately $60,000 to put towards this project. Of course, we will continue to address the repairs on an “as needed” basis until we can complete this project. We looked in to replacing the lamp posts however it was much too expensive. We decided to replace the globes and repair and paint the posts. We have asked our landscaper to cut back the limbs so we get as much light as possible. We have our landscaping walk through on Wednesday. Before we remove any bushes/shrubs, we will notify you. If we are replacing yours and you would like to be involved in what we replace them with, please let me know - it will depend on the cost of replacement. Or you may want to lay grass seed down, which you would have to commit to watering. We are looking to replace the junipers and yews that are overgrown and partially dead. As a side note, we have asked our landscaper to limb up the trees throughout the Community. I want to “possibly consider” removing mulch and putting down grass seed in some of our front yards. If you would like this done to your yard, please let me know. It will definitely require a firm commitment that you will water. Throughout the years, it seems the mulch has taken over. This might be something we do in the fall and will depend on cost.
